Can Christians go to beauty salons?

This might sound like a silly question but can Christians go to beauty salons and get facials etc because getting a facial can be really relaxing and bring deep peace and make your mind go completely empty but i've read on some Christian websites that Christians shouldn't do things that make their mind go completely empty-that its dangerous or something-and also it said if you do things to get peace and relaxation apart from praying that its seperating yourself/taking yourself away from God,that your no longer relying on God and that you should get your peacefulness etc from praying to God.

Yes and I agree with Scouse. I've never been to a beauty salon but I don't think there's anything wrong with it. We all need that peaceful relaxation it brings. : )Can Christians go to beauty salons?
I'm a ex- licensed cosmetologist and a Christian.


There is nothing wrong with going to a beauty salon for services they offer.


Facials are relaxing and promote healthy skin.


They remove dirt,oil, and impurity's from the face.


Pedicures and manicures are relaxing and promote healthy feet,and hands. Not to mention they are more attractive looking after the service.


What Christians should avoid is hypnotism and occult meditations and practices.


Examples: (seances,physics,fortune tellers,Ouija boards,palm readers,Tarot card readers,hypnotism,and meditations.)


This is a portal allowing evil spirits to enter in.
Why not? Taking a reasonable pride in your appearance or having something to relax you properly ( I'm not talking about sex outside marriage here ) and make you feel better is not against the Christian faith. Over indulgence in such matters is. I do not believe that Christ was the stiff necked misery guts some would have you believe.

There are so many things in the world that take our minds off God.


We are people and will always use television and deep facials to zone out and relax.


Even though we would live a life of so much more spiritual fullfillment if instead we prayed or read the bible, we don't because we have these annoying habbits of when we are bored, just putting the tv on.

If anything facials are just another gift from God, ment to help us take our minds off worldly stress.
My opinion is that if you talk like that you'll be doing a lot of passing out. You need to take a breath every now and then.
